CRISTIANO Ronaldo was told that he would get a pay rise to bring him level with Barcelona rival Lionel Messi after he helping the club to retain the Champions League last season.

That has failed to materialise, with Neymar now also earning more than the Portuguese forward following his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Madrid's lack of action in bringing his wages to at least the same level as the South American duo has left him outraged at chief Perez, according to Marca.
