Nicholas and Lucinda Crosthwaite have lived in a cottage next to Stamford Bridge for 50 years, and have blocked Chelsea’s £1billion stadium plans because they say it will overshadow their cottage and block out their sunlight.
They took out an injunction in May saying the 60,000-seater stadium will cast a permanent shadow over their home.
Chelsea FC, owned by billionaire
Roman Abramovich, reportedly offered them a six-figure sum to waive their claim but they turned it down.

The Mayor of London had signed off the plans.
A consultation of 13,000 residents earned 97.5 per cent support, and Chelsea have compensated other homeowners.
Hammersmith and Fulham councillors will discuss the row on Monday.
