Neymar "better not go and play" in the Premier League, says former West Ham ace Dimitri Payet.

Marseille midfielder Payet reckons that if Neymar thinks defenders in Ligue 1 are too rough then he'd stand no chance in England.

Payet says Paris Saint-Germain's world record signing must simply learn to put up with the hard stuff.

And he told L’Equipe: “He better not go and play in England then!

“I think that every team talk the opposing coach gives must focus on him.

"Unhappily, he takes the kind of blows that make him lose his rhythm because it’s one of the ways that he can be stopped. He’s a victim of his talent.

“It happens to other players, like Florian Thauvin [of Marseille] and Nabil Fekir [of Lyon]. All the players who are specialists in dribbling and committing defenders are liable to be kicked.”
