Jonathan Walters, Burnley, Stoke and Republic Of Ireland Forward Announces Retirement From Football

Former Stoke and Ireland football star, Jonathan Walters has announced his retirement from football after failing to recover persistent Achilles heel problem.

Today, the striker announced his retirement from football on his Twitter account.

'Isn’t it ironic...my Achilles heel has literally been my Achilles heel and finished me off,' he wrote.

'I am now retired from playing football. It’s been epic. Veni vidi vici.'
