Soulja Boy sued for kidnapping and assault by ex-girlfriend while his assistant is sued for sexual battery in case which landed rapper in prison
Soulja Boy is being sued for allegedly assaulting and kidnapping his ex-girlfriend while his assistant is also being sued for sexual battery after a February incident.
A woman named Kayla Myers has filed a lawsuit against the 29-year-old rapper - DeAndre Cortez Way - in a case that landed him in prison according to TMZ on Thursday.
He was ultimately not charged for the February incident but did land in prison for 146 days as a search of his Agoura Hills, California home by law enforcement turned up weapons and ammo, causing legal problems, which violated his probation for a 2014 weapons case.
Most of the claims have been reported previously but new details have emerged centered around an alleged sexual assault by one of his male assistants.
According legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kayla claims that she was tied up with an extension cord when a male assistant offered to release her in exchange for oral sex and she felt like she had no choice so she agreed.
She went on to claim that she was released at 8AM after a six hour ordeal but not before the rapper said: 'Now get this b**** outta here before I knock her down the stairs.'
The Ventura County District Attorney stated there is insufficient evidence to charge the star in the kidnapping case according to TMZ back in June.
Kayla claimed Soulja prevented her from leaving his home in Agoura Hills by tying her up in a chair in his garage with an extension cord. Soulja allegedly left her there for six hours.
Sources revealed that Kayla, who was thought to be dating him at the time, was asked to leave the residence at around 2:30 a.m. after an argument, however as she was attempting to leave the grounds of the property, she accidentally drove in reverse and clipped the curb.
Soulja's assistant, who was reportedly outside and witnessed the incident, became 'agitated' and began arguing with her.
Kayla then claimed the star began punching and kicking her before moving her to his garage.
