Nkwo Nnewi Electrical Parts On Fire (PHOTOS)
Popular Multi-Billion Naira Nkwo Nnewi Electrical Parts Market located at Ebenator-Uruagu in Nnewi was tonight, last night, February 6th, 2020 gutted by fire. The fire was said to have started by 9:30 pm as the source of the fire incident is still not known.
Hundreds of shop owners trooped out late midnight on Thursday to help quench the fire before the fire service truck from Anambra State Government came to put an end to the fire incident.
Head of Fire Service in Anambra State, Engr Martin Agility said his men responded to action immediately the service got information about the incident by sending a fire truck from Nnewi to help put off the fire before a backup fire truck was sent from Awka.
According to eye witnesses, the first fire truck did not have enough water and couldn’t do much in helping to tackle the fire incident before a backup fire truck was brought to complement the effort of the first one.
As at the time(12:52 am Friday, 7th February 2020) of writing this, the fire is still on as there is a shortage of water to tackle it.
